Netflix for Android just received an update that offers up a brand new video player and some new features along with it.

The previous player on Netflix did the job well enough, but it was pretty bare bones. The new player has been updated with bigger buttons for volume control, and you’re now presented with a thumbnail when scrubbing through the video, much like the desktop site. You also now how the option to rewind back ten seconds via a small button next to the scrubber.

The update also include support for Android 4.2 device and a handful of bug and stability fixes.

I’ve previously avoided using Netflix on my phones and tablets for various reasons, but the usability of the application has always been on the top of the list. Now the new video player refresh looks clean and is more usable than ever.

Be sure to update the application here!
