Many people have been patiently awaiting for Google to restock the Nexus 4 in the Play Store, and today was that day. At 12PM (PST), the highly anticipated device finally went back on sale, and to no one’s surprise, it quickly sold out, yet again. Or so it seemed.

Within three minutes of its re-release, visiting the site showed both 8GB and 16GB versions of the Nexus 4 as sold out. But this wasn’t the case. Due to the high traffic of people trying to get their hands on one of the devices, the Play Store began show the device was sold out.

The Google Play Store now shows the following  on the top of the window:

“Google Play is currently experiencing very high traffic. Nexus 4 is not sold out and will still be available for purchase. Please try again shortly. Thank you for your patience.”

So if you gave up on getting yourself a Nexus 4 today because you got slapped with a sold out page, keep trying!
