It’s been a pain in the ‘you know what’ to get your hands on the iPhone 5 since it launched on September 12. They’ve been either sold out at phone carriers, Apple retail stores, or held under long ship times online. Now for those of you doing your holiday shopping and looking to get an iPhone 5 the wait is over, as the hard to get phone is finally in stock at Apple retail stores. Those who prefer the online option there’s good news for you as well. Apple has dropped its estimated ship times for phone deliveries, as the mega tech company seems to have gotten a hold on its inventory issues.
Piper Jaffray analyst, Gene Munster, believes Apple has solved issues with keeping the iPhone 5 in stock. In a note to investors, Munster said “We believe the iPhone 5 has finally reached a point where consumers can walk into an Apple Store and walk out with a phone.”
No one knows if this is true or not, but we’ll know within the next few weeks during this hectic shopping period before and after Christmas. What’s interesting is the Verizon iPhone 5 has been in the shortest supply among the phone’s three U.S. carriers, according to 20 stores who were polled. So that means Big Red is kicking some major tail in the activation department.
That being said, the Apple online store now shows a ship time of just one week, which is a significant upgrade from its recent 2-3 week estimated ship time. Again, lets see how long this last.
