Sony has prepared a special SDK add-on for developers looking to make apps for Xperia tablet(s0. The pack comes with documents, code examples and tools that will enable developers to “make use of the special features included in Sony tablets,” including “small apps” running inside the window, the IR blaster and other special features of the Xperia Tablet S.
You can get all the details (and download the SDK) from Sony’s developer website. That, of course, presumes you’re a developer ready to invest resources into making specialty apps for Sony’s tablet, which let’s face it, isn’t exactly the most popular such device out there. The Japanese company has yet to convince users to pay a premium for the Xperia Tablet S; just because it has the Sony logo doesn’t make it better than competing products. Quite the contrary it’s not exactly a tablet we would suggest anyone buying — you’re better off getting the Nexus 10 or Apple iPad, instead…
