Owners of the HTC One XL in parts of Asia, including Taiwan and Singapore, have started getting Jelly Bean updates for their beloved smartphone. Aside from the standard set of Android 4.1 goodies that include faster browsing, improved push notifications and accessibility, resizable widgets, and faster overall performance – software version 3.17.707.1 also includes some of HTC’s own tweaks. For one thing, you’ll get the latest version of Sense UI (4+), along with camera enhancements, power management improvements, as well as the event/map view in the Gallery app.

It’s a 657.98 MB-heavy update so make sure you’re connected to a local Wi-Fi hotspot before starting the process to make for a faster download. Once you get the file, give your one XL some half an hour to implement all the changes and tweak/update many of the existing apps.

And if you still don’t see the update, try looking for it manually through Settings -> About phone. Hopefully, it will be there, waiting for your download. ;)
