While not everyone is convinced RIM has what it takes to stay relevant in the mobile game, the Canadian company keeps pushing its agenda forward. To that end they’ve secured Vodafone UK as one of its customers and it will start selling BlackBerry 10 devices from the day one.
It’s unclear which BlackBerry phones the Big Red carrier will offer, but it’s likely they’ll opt for both an all-touchscreen model and the one that also sports a QWERTY keyboard. That’s just me speculating and we’ll rather have to wait for January 30th to see what Vodafone and other operators have in tow.
And while we’re sure RIM will do its distribution right, we’re still not convinced that will be enough to put BlackBerry back to the map. This is not to say we’re not cheering for RIM, we’re just afraid that it could be too late for them to return to the party. Only the time will tell…
