FaceTime over cellular launched with iOS 6 last year and AT&T  caused a stir when it limited the service to customers on a Mobile Share data plan. It alleviated a bit of that customer hostility when it made the service available to tiered data plan customers on an LTE connection. Now, the company is opening up that service to all customers who subscribe to a tiered data plan.

AT&T announced on its blog that its internal systems and processes are being updated to support this expanded feature. Customers don’t have to do anything except wait for AT&T to  roll it out to their handsets in the upcoming weeks.
