BlackBerry held its big BlackBerry 10 launch event today and the Canadian manufacturer used it time in the spotlight to announce the BlackBerry Z10. The Z10 is one of two handsets RIM is using to kick off its new mobile OS platform.

As expected, the Z10 will sport a 4.2 inch HD display with a 1280 x 768 resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and removable microSD cards up to 32GB. Camera-wise, the Z10 will feature a rear 8-megapixel shooter with an LED flash and support for 1080P HD video. There’s also a 2-megapixel web cam on the front that’ll let you video chat in 720P quality. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 4G Mobile Hotspot, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC.

The Z10 will be available in the coming weeks. It will be offered in black and white.
