It’s a sad day for Nokia Lumia 710 owners who bought their device from T-Mobile USA. The Magenta carrier said it will not be providing its users with the Windows Phone 7.8 update. Here’s what they said exactly:

At this time, the Nokia Lumia 710 will not receive the software update. T-Mobile is committed to enhancing customers’ experience with our devices, including providing upgrades to the latest operating systems, and T-Mobile aims to deliver software upgrades when it will provide a better experience for our customers. We’ll share additional information on upgrades for the Nokia Lumia 710 when they are available.

You can still take an unofficial route and cram Windows Phone 7.8 to your Lumia 710 though you should do this only if you’re 100% sure you know what you’re doing. Otherwise something could go wrong and even brick your device…
