It was one year ago today that Google announced that it was rebranding the Android Market as Google Play and expanding the store to include more than apps. One year later and Google is ready to party like a rock star when celebrating its first year in existence.
Starting today and extending for the week, Google is offering discounts across its storefront. There are 99-cent movie rentals, movie purchases that are priced at $4.99 and a bunch of books for under $5. Apps and magazines are also on sale.
You can travel to the promotions web page on Google’s Play Store to check out all the discounts. Happy shopping!
