If smart watches are too much for you, perhaps a smart bracelet will fit your lifestyle. One such project is currently raising funds and awareness at Kickstarter, the popular crowd-sourcing community.

Rather than boasting a display, the EMRBACE+ will vibrate and blink to inform you about incoming calls, messages and other notifications that need your attention. By working in pair with a dedicated app (which will be available for iOS and Android smartphones), this handy accessory can go beyond basic phone alerts to include notifications from a number of different apps and services, social networking updates included.

The bracelet is super-customizable, allowing you set the vibration type and color for different kinds of alerts, different contacts from your phonebook and so on.

As you would imagine, it’s a water-proof device (up to 5ATM) that you’ll be able to carry even while swimming…

The team behind this project is looking to raise $220,000, and in order to secure your unit, you’ll have to pledge at least $49. Check out the video below to get a better idea what EMRBACE+ can do for you and whether you want to support it or not.

The "convergence" is what he's most excited about, and writing about it is the next logical thing to do. He thinks that using a smartphone is what everyone who cares about their time should do. In addition to his interests in mobile phones, Dusan also loves to experiment with the latest web and mobile 2.0 services. The idea of accessing and managing your information from any device no matter where you are simply amazes him. Whether it's an online to-do list, note taking service or a video sharing social network, he's there to try it out. He admits though, he's still searching for the ultimate web-based organizational tool, which "sings" perfectly with the mobile PIM application. Dusan used to run SymbianWatch.com which later became part of IntoMobile. He lives in Serbia, South-East Europe, from where he edits the site on a daily basis.

I prefer smart watches over bracelets…. though this does look cool for partying. :)
