Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L officially official

We’ve told you that Sony will unveil two new smartphones and voila… the Xperia SP and Xperia L are now officially official.

The Xperia SP is a better of the two devices, boasting a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, LTE connectivity support (where that makes sense) along with 3G and Wi-Fi, 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS, VGA front-facing one, Qualcomm’s 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage (plus a microSD memory card slot).

The Xperia L, on the other hand, packs a 4.3-inch FWVGA (854×480) display, 8-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing one, 1GB of RAM, 1GHz dual-core processor, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot.

Both phones run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of box, and both will be available in three colors — including black, white and red — starting from the second quarter of this year. Prices were not mentioned, though…

Cool phones. Though mid-range… i.e. not interested. :)
