Twitter is the latest company to enter the music discovery market with a service of its own, built on top of the We Are Hunted’s technology. A new page, dedicated to #music, is now live though pressing the “Sign In” button doesn’t do you any good (at least it doesn’t for me).
According to AllThingsD, Twitter won’t be selling the songs, but will rather show users what people they follow are listening to, letting other services like SoundCloud, iTunes and Vevo sell you music.
Engadget goes on suggesting that if you allow #music access, you’ll notice a blurb describing the application as “Trending Music Web by [blank]” with a note detailing it as “the web version of the trending music app.” I haven’t seen that though that doesn’t mean you won’t see it; propulsion across Twitter’s server base takes time, so don’t worry if you don’t see as well – we’re sure the Interwebs won’t stop discussing Twitter’s music app in the days to come…
