Sony has just announced yet another Xperia handset for the mid-range market, the Xperia M. The handset ships with a modest set of specs but retains the attractive OmniBalance design we’ve seen on devices like the Xperia Z and ZL.
Sony Xperia M Specifications:
- 4-inch (854 x 480) display
- 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 5 megapixel camera
- Front-facing camera
- Micro SD card slot
- Dual-SIM version available
- Available in black, white, lime and purple
The Sony Xperia M also shares the same notification LED found on devices like the Xperia ZL. The LED is rather unique, as it’s a small line instead of a circle we’ve seen on a majority of Android smartphones in the past. Like the Xperia ZL, the LED responds to some actions within the software, like the gallery.
Shipping with Sony’s customer user interface, the Xperia M may ship with the low on the specs, but owners will certainly feel classy with the sexy UI and design of the device.
Expect the Sony Xperia M (and M dual) to land some time in the 3rd quarter of this year.
