AT&T announced the addition of NEC Terrain to its portfolio of business-ready devices. The ruggedized smartphone comes with a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass screen and “sturdy core construct” that exceeds the military specifications (MIL-810G) for shock distribution, allowing it to work even in the toughest working conditions.
Specs wise, the Terrain sports a full QWERTY keyboard, 3.1-inch touchscreen, 4G LTE connectivity support, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and dedicated Enhanced PTT (Push-To-Talk) key for quick access to other members of the team. In addition, there’s also a 5-megapixel camera on the back, VGA front-facing one and 8GB of expandable memory (via microSD cards).
Available through AT&T Business Solutions channels and online beginning June 21, the NEC Terrain is priced at $99.99 with a two-year agreement and can be purchased from here.
Personally I love this form factor though I dislike the extra bulkiness rugged phones add to the mix. How about you – do you like the NEC Terrain?
