Only a day after launching its video capabilities, Instagram users have uploaded over 5 million videos in the last 24 hours. That’s a whole lot of moving selfies.
According to a report from Tech Crunch, the spike in video uploads didn’t occur around the early morning launch time, but rather in the evening when the Miami Heat emerged victorious in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Instagram saw a years worth of content in the first eight hours of the video rollout, appapproximately 40 hours of video uploaded per minute. That’s pretty, pretty good for Instagram.
