We’ve learned to appreciate BLU Products for their affordable smartphones which in many cases offer a decent bang for the buck. Their latest product, BLU Dash 4.5, fits that bill, featuring a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (though that’s MediaTek MT6589M) and a price tag of $139. And yes, that’s how much users will pay for an unlocked, SIM-free unit.
Rest of the specs aren’t that impressive, but I guess we shouldn’t expect a ton for that amount of cash. There’s a 4.5-inch 480×854 pixels screen, 512MB of RAM, 5-megapixel back and VGA front cameras, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as 4GB of expandable storage. The great news is that stock Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show, making sure you can fine-tune the phone the way you want to. Plus, let’s not forget two SIM card slots with Dual Active capability that allow you to have active calls on both SIMs at the same time. Pretty cool for 140 bucks, don’t you think?
