Microsoft is trying to revive sales of its Windows RT tablets by slashing the prices on the tablet device. The US Store is now selling the basic version of the tablet for $349, down from its original price tag of $499. The basic model includes 32GB of storage and does not include a keyboard. All RT models are powered by Windows RT, which is a scaled down version of Windows 8.
As part of this wide-sweeping sale, the 64GB basic model is now priced at $499, down from $599. Touch Cover models have seen similar $150 discounts with the 32GB with Touch Cover version available for $449 and the 64GB selling for $549. This sale also extends internationally with European countries like Germany, France, Spain, Italy and UK cutting prices on the tablet.
