Netflix showcases a Nokia Lumia phone running iOS

Hollywood types apparently enjoy mixing and matching phones and platforms, taking what they deem the best for broadcast TV. As spotted by WMPoweruser, Netflix’s newest independent series, Orange is the New Black, features an unbranded Lumia handset running a flavor of iOS. In one segment, the boxy and beautiful Windows Phone handset has received an iMessage. Also prominent on the screen is Apple’s characteristic slide-to-unlock prompt.

This isn’t the first time we have seen a Lumia phone with iOS. The US government apparently likes that hardware-software combination as well.

Great series, can’t wait for the next one. I notice stuff like this in film and TV but what annoys me is someone ending a phone call on these touch screens and a “beep” or other tone is heard. Touching the “end” button doesn’t make a noise!
