These are good times for Verizon Wireless employees who will be able to get a special version of the hot-new DROID ULTRA smartphone. Dubbed DROID ULTRA Employee Edition, it will not only look sexier thanks to the cool red racing stripe on its back, but will also come bundled with free Griffin Reveal case and SOL Republic JAX Earbuds. All this will be available to the Big Red carrier’s army of employees for just $99 with a contract. And no, you won’t be able to get one of these except if one of those employees decides to sell his/her unit on eBay. That’s why it’s called “Employee Edition,” after all.
On the bright side, this special edition will also ship on August 20th alongside the rest of the new DROID family. So it’s not like Verizon staff will get their units before the rest of us could do it… Cause we would hate them even more if that was the case. 😉
