Pantech filed for the “fablet” trademark, hinting us it’s getting even more serious about the phablet market. The Korean company already has the Vega No. 6 phablet which is one of the sexiest such devices out there though unfortunately it’s available only in a few countries. Perhaps the new name will be used to bring that or some other device to more markets, perhaps not.
In any case, we’re glad to see more and more companies entering the phablet market, providing more options to the users, while making this big phones more affordable as a result (or that at least should be the case). We’re sure Pantech has what it takes to make an awesome phablet that can easily compete with the LG Optimus G Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. We just want to see it selling outside of the Korean peninsula. That’s all. 😉
