Apple’s iTunes Activation Servers Down…Again!?

Well, it looks as though Apple’s activation servers are down…again. On July 25th, Apple’s activation servers went down for a spell, barring new iPhone customers from activating their handsets. The same thing has happened today, and Twitter is blowing up with irate customers who are stuck holding a shiny new iPhone in their hands with nothing to do but stare at it.

As always, we’re pretty sure that Apple is scrambling to fix the problem. One tweet suggests claims that Apple support said that it will take 24 to 48 hours to fix the problem, but that’s still up in the air.

We’ll see how long it takes for Apple to remedy this, as the company has been experiencing hiccups with pretty much all of its cloud services as of late. iMessage went down for a bit back in April, and its Dev Center was out of commission for a few hours just a few days ago. That outage put Apple’s App Store out as well. Yikes.

While these things do happen, the recent abundance of Apple service outages is producing a while mess of irate customers. Let’s just hope Apple gets its cloud services functioning again soon.
