Join the pork side! Angry Birds: Star Wars II is launching on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 soon, and a new trailer with the voice of Ian McDiarmid, the actor who played Emperor Palpatine in the Star Wars movies.
The game expands on the Angry Birds Star Wars franchise by offering a slew of new characters and abilities from across the Star Wars universe. The game will now include characters and storylines from the prequels as well, as well as allowing players to join the “pork side,” playing as the pig baddies.
Along with 30 characters to choose from, new levels and new weapons and Jedi moves, Rovio is releasing a line of 30 collectible figures from Hasbro called TELEPODS. When a TELEPOD is placed on a phone or tablet, the character is transported into the game, allowing users to transport characters directly into the game.
Patience young padawan, Angry Birds: Star Wars II will be available on September 19th for .99.
