HTC 8X owners may’ve looked at Nokia’s exclusive Windows Phone software with a dose of lust. And anger. I mean if Nokia can make a better camera software, why couldn’t HTC do the same? After all, they’re already doing it on their Android smartphones.

Luckily, one savvy hacker managed to port the Nokia Pro Camera app to HTC’s flagship Windows Phone. I wouldn’t expect that all things work, but as you are about to see from the video below – most things do.

Of course this isn’t something everyone should try out as things could go wrong making your warranty obsolete along the way. Or you could end-up with a bricked device. We just had to add that part so you don’t blame IntoMobile later on.

Anyhow, if you do “have what it takes,” proceed to this page for all the instructions how to make your HTC Windows Phone run Nokia’s camera software. Additional word of warning: the instructions are in Italian so you better consult someone who knows the language to translate the text properly.
