Microsoft Surface Pro 2, Surface 2 and Surface Mini in works

Even though Microsoft had hard time moving a critical number of Surface tablets, that doesn’t stop them from pushing the whole business forward. It is said that the Redmond giant is working on a whole new series of Surface devices — including the Surface 2, Surface 2 Pro and Surface Mini — as we speak. To make things even harder to believe, the Surface 2 will run Windows RT, the platform that we thought will die alongside the original Surface tablet. But alas, MS doesn’t give up that easily and even though it lost a ton of cash on the first Surface, it may learn something from its successor.

The Surface Pro 2 is the model we care about more. We’re hearing that it will look exactly like the existing Surface Pro, boasting Intel’s new Hashwell Core i5 chip that will also help deliver improved battery life, going from 5 to 7 hours. Users will be able to choose between 4 and 8 GB models, and that kickstand we’ve learned to like will now support not one but two different positions.

Unfortunately we don’t have any dates at the moment though I’m guess new details will emerge shortly. Stay tuned in the meantime…

I want the Surface Mini… if it runs Windows 8 (rather than Windows RT).

Arms CPU chips are used in over 90 percent of smart phones & Tablet devices. MS has killed the brand name “Windows RT” but will use an improved version of it’s “OS” technology to run Windows on ARMS CPU tablets. .Microsoft has no choice but to continue make a Tablet that runs on ARMS CPU’S or else it will only have Windows 8 smart phones in the mobile world causing Apple Ipads and Android tablets dominate the mobile world.
the MS “Surface-2″ and the coming Nokia “Serious” .tablet will be The only 2 tablets that use the improved 8.1 updated Windows on ARMS operating system. If Microsoft like Google Android continue to make Arm CPU tablets eventually they will get lots of apps and sell better. after all Google Android tablets stank until their OS improved with Ice cream sandwich and Jellybean updates of Googles Android OS. the Same will happen with Microsoft ARMS tablets. I hope Microsoft continues to make Nokia model that will come out it will come in colors and have a built in kick stand and special Nokia Apps the only trouble it wont be cheap Microsoft will have to lower the cost of it at least one hundred dollars for it to sell well.

I think Microsoft would be wise to keep making the very colorful Nokia designed tablets and not name them “Surface” and with Barnes and Nobles help they should sell them to the educational schools & have elementary, high school and College texts loaded on them and other types of educational software put on them to make them the defacto best educational tablets because they also come preloaded with the renown Microsoft Home and Student office sweet. The Windows on ARMS OS is perfect for this tyope of tablet becaue folks you do not need a full blown desktop OS like Windows 7 or 8 or
the Coming advanced Windows 8.1 OS are. If you use them the cost of the tablets will be hundreds of dollars more than a Windows on ARMS CPU tablet cost because these are complex and large programs. that need more expensive electronics to run them well.
