The existing Vega LTE-A with its 5.6-inch screen isn’t enough for Pantech. As part of what looks like the “keeping up with the Joneses” strategy (where Samsung is playing the neighbor), the Korean company will soon be launching another phablet, the one with an even bigger, 5.9-inch screen.
Set to be officially announced on October 10th, the Pantech Vega Note will also pack Qualcomm’s super-fast Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip clocked at 2.3GHz, LTE-Advanced connectivity support and 2GB of RAM. In addition, this thing will rock a sort of trackpad/fingerprint sensor on the back, bringing along new user experiences and an additional level of security.
As usual, we’re not sure whether the Vega Note will ever leave the shores of Korean peninsula and can only hope AT&T — which is known to carry some Pantech handsets — or some other network(s) will bring it to the West. We’ll get back to you as soon as the Vega Note is officially announced. Stay tuned…
