Owners of Samsung devices are getting good news today. A leaked screen shows a timetable for the rollout of Android 4.3 to their handsets and tablets. The Samsung Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Note II, and Galaxy S4 and S4 Active will be getting 4.3 soon. Check out the screenshot below!
Samsung’s Android 4.3 update also brings support for the company’s new Galaxy Gear smartwatch, among other upgrades. So if you’re into wearable tech, make a note of your update date!
The image shows that the first 4.3 rollout will be coming to the Verizon Galaxy S4 on Monday the 28th. Full disclosure: I’m rocking a Verizon S4 – color me stoked! Sprint gets the update a couple of days later, and the carrier’s SIII update follows about a week later. The schedule of updates continues through November, with T-Mobile’s Note II update finishing the run on December 2nd. So, by early December, all of these Samsung devices will be running Android 4.3!
According to the image, Galaxy Note 2 owners on Verizon can expect the update on November 29, while AT&T customers should be seeing it on November 20. Galaxy S4 users on Verizon should see Android 4.3 on October, while AT&T customers should receive it on November 13. Users still rocking their Galaxy S3 on Verizon should see Android 4.3 on November 22, while owners on AT&T can expect it on November 13. Owners of these devices on Sprint and T-Mobile can see the table below.
It’s worth noting that the screen also shows that the dates are “subject to change”. So get pumped, but do it with a grain of salt.
