U.S. Cellular's Galaxy S4 gets Android 4.3 update

Almost missed this… U.S. Cellular and Samsung have started rolling out Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4.

Aside from the platform changes, there are many other things included in this release, such as Samsung KNOX security software and Galaxy Gear support. Yup, you will be able to connect Sammy’s smartphone to your Galaxy S4 after this update.

But that’s not all. The Korean company and/or U.S. Cellular also updated many of the apps that came preloaded with the Galaxy S4. These include City ID (now in version 1.25.11), Mobile TV (, MobiTiles (, Slacker Radio (4.0.1034), TRD (2.0.32b), WiFi Now (4.5.90), YND (, Mobile Security ( and Amazon Shopping (2.6.0).

If your smartphone still hasn’t informed you about the new software, feel free to manually check for it – fire-up “Settings” -> “About phone” and take it from there…
