Verizon’s Redbox Instant Updated To Include Apple AirPlay Support

Thanks to an update to the Redbox Instant iOS app, Apple owners can stream movies and TV shows via Apple’s AirPlay. The update allows most content to be streamed from an Apple device running iOS 5.0 or newer directly to an Apple TV. According to Engadget, the app lacks some functionality. Apparently, streaming will be interrupted if the iOS device receives a text or other notification, or if the app is exited and another one opened. AirPlay Mirroring works like a charm though.

If you’ve got a Redbox Instant subscription and an Apple TV, be sure to give the new features a try.
