Lenovo announced a pair of mid-range smartphones in China, S930 and S650.
The first of the two is made to compete with affordable phablets like Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 6.3. It comes with a 6-inch 720p HD screen, MediaTek’s 6852 1.3GHz quad-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 3,000 mAh battery, and a pair of cameras – 8MP on the back and 1.6MP front-facing one. The S930 measures 170x86x8.65 mm and has a weight of 170 grams.
When it comes to Lenovo S650, it rocks a 4.7-inch screen with qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. In addition, this model sports the same MediaTek’s quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, as well as 1GB of RAM, 2,000 mAh battery and 8GB of expandable storage. All this is packed into a body measuring 138×69.8×8.7 mm with a weight of 126 grams.
Both phones will be available by the end of the month with the Lenovo S650 going for $366 and the S930 for $427. No word whether this duo will hit some other markets…
