Xiaomi Mi4 to have its Mini sibling?

Even though Xiaomi still hasn’t launched its 2014 flagship (Mi4), the rumors started spreading that it will get its smaller, so called “Mini”, counterpart. That’s right, the company many refer to as “Apple of China” plans to join the growing trend of “Mini” phones to cater to folks who either don’t want to pay a premium for the top-end model or just want a smaller device; or both.

In any case, we’re hearing that the “regular” Xiaomi Mi4 will be unveiled in (or close to) the second half of the year, boasting Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 805 chipset along with other top-notch specs like 3GB of RAM, 13+ megapixel camera and a ton of internal storage. So we’re guessing that the Mi4 Mini could pack a smaller, 4.something-inch HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera and so on.

At the moment, we can just speculate on this and considering Xiaomi didn’t officially announce a thing about its “Mini plans,” we’ll have to wait and see where this goes. We’ll make sure you don’t miss a beat, though. Stay tuned…
