We’ve seen that LG smartphone with tri SIM card slots, the Optimus L1 II Tri; now we have Samsung following suit with such model of its own – Galaxy Star Trios.
Again, this is a low-end device that will initially be available in Brazil with some other markets getting it at a later date. Or not; all we have is the Trios’ page at Samsung’s local website.
Specs wise, this unit packs a 3.14-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) screen, 1GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chip, HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 512MB of RAM, 2-megapixel camera on the back, 1,300mAh battery and 4GB of expandable storage.
Sammy will ask an equivalent of $165 for the unlocked Galaxy Star Trios, which is a lot of money considering its hardware. Then again, it’s not like users have a ton of options to choose from in the “triple-SIM space,” anyway. So I guess they can ask (almost) as much as they want…
