Motorola’s MotoMaker is coming to Western Europe and Mexico soon, according to a report from The Verge. This means that for the first time, Moto X owners outside of the U.S. will be able to customize their Moto X smartphones with the number of options that MotoMaker offers. MotoMaker allows Moto X customers to customize the color of various parts of the device, including a faux-wood backing.
The news comes from a panel at MWC 2014, in which Motorola’s Rick Osterloh announced the expansion in MotoMaker service.
That’s also good news for Moto X fans, who have been in limbo about the future of the hit Android device with Lenovo’s recent acquisition of Motorola Mobility from Google. The MotoMaker expansion announcement is confirmation that Motorola will continue to enhance the Moto X, with or without Google.
