Sunday night, Ellen DeGeneres officially broke Twitter, for a little while at least. And it was all thanks to the help of Samsung and

While hosting the Oscars Sunday night, DeGeneres sauntered up to the front row of the crowd with a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in tow. DeGeneres claimed she was going to take the selfie that would break Twitter and set a record for the most re-tweeted tweet, ever. The tweet takes the record for most re-tweeted tweet of all time, and has made Ellen DeGeneres, who goes by the Twitter handle @TheEllenShow the first user to top 1 million retweets for a single Twitter post, topping 1,300,000 retweets in less than an hour.
