LG is apparently looking to revamp its phone launch schedule and unveil its 2014 flagship sooner than expected. According to reports from Korea — and brought to our attention by G4Games — the company will announce its latest flagship in “Late June” and make it available in “Early July.”
It is said that this model will pack a 5.5-inch screen with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 or 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a powerful camera on the back with Optical Image Stabilization.
We’ve no idea how it will look like, but it may borrow some cues from the upcoming LG isai FL, which — according to EVleaks — is heading to Japanese KDDI. This model has a thin bezel around the screen and its front-facing camera is placed in the bottom part of the phone. Such setup should make a device with a big screen more pocketable, and we like it for that. Moreover, LG will keep its unusual practice of placing volume buttons on the back of the device, just below the camera.
