And yet again we have a story to share involving Xiaomi’s rumored tablet. The latest piece of information we’ve got suggests that the Chinese company is working on an iPad Mini-like device with 7.85-inch 2048×1536 pixel Retina screen. However, unlike Apple, Xiaomi won’t ask a hefty premium for its product — according to GizChina’s report, this tablet will be offered for as little as $160 in China. And that’s the price of an unlocked, SIM-free device!
Other details are scarce at the moment, but we would assume there’s some quad-core processor ticking under the hood, 2GB of RAM, dual cameras and so on.
After China, Xiaomi’s tablet (miPad?) will likely be hitting few other countries in Asia, and perhaps some additional markets in Latin America… More to come…
