Microsoft Surface Mini to be unveiled on May 20th?

Microsoft has started sending out invites for a “small gathering” taking place on May 20th in the New York City. During the upcoming Surface-themed event we expect to see the new Microsoft tablet unveiled. Yup, we’re hoping to see the Surface Mini which will run the full-blown Windows 8 rather than Windows RT. Or we may get to see two different version, “standard” with Windows RT, and “Pro” with regular Windows 8.1.

This isn’t the first time we’re mentioning the Surface Mini — this device has already been mentioned on IntoMobile in the past. We are looking forward to see it emerging as mobile warrior’s next best friend. Hopefully, the Redmond giant will opt for more powerful Core i5 chip in the “Pro” variant, allowing us to dump our laptops and “go small,” along the way.

We’ll get back to you with more details as soon as we get ’em. Stay tuned…
