Google has officially announced Android TV, bringing Android squarely into the living room. Android TV is a faucet of Android L, and will run on set-top boxes akin to the Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Apple TV as well as smart TV’s from certain manufacturers. Android TV devices will appear this fall.

At the core of Android TV is Google’s search services, which allow you to navigate your favorite shows, suggested programs and more with a simple voice search. Android TV’s design follows the rules of material design concepts unveiled by Google earlier today, which brings a sleek uncluttered home screen with easy navigation. The Android TV even acts as a Chromecast, allowing you to cast certain apps directly to the Android TV.

Story developing..
