It is said that LG will be returning to the Windows Phone market later this year. We’ve heard about the LG Uni8 phone, but we’re still clueless whether that was a real deal or yet another bogus rumor.
Now we hear about another unannounced LG-made Windows Phone device. Marked as LG D635, this unit has been caught at cross-promotion network AdDuplex and brought to our attention by its founder, Alan Mendelevich.
Alan couldn’t say all the details, but the company’s log indicate the D635 rocks a 5-inch 720p HD screen and Windows Phone 8.1. In other words, it’s a mid-ranger and as far as we (don’t) know, it could still be in the “prototype phase”; and never get turned into a real product.
We would argue that it’s time for LG to return to the Windows Phone market. Yes, it will be tough to compete with all those Lumia models, but if they could release a smartphone that is similar to the G3, they stand a chance to get some customers. Even without that Quad HD screen, the Windows Phone-powered G3 would be a nice device. Or so I think; what do you say?
