Lenovo Jumps on the 64-Bit Bandwagon with the Vibe Z2

64-Bit processors are the new thing, and Lenovo doesn’t want you to forget it. The hefty processors are just getting their bearings in the Android ecosystem, with the next iteration of Android optimized for those beefy chips. Apple’s A7 processor that lives inside of the iPhone 5S is 64 bit, so it only makes sense that Android manufacturers would follow suit. At any rate, Lenovo’s got them bits, cramming a 64 bit Snapdragon processor into the Vibe Z2.

The Vibe Z2 touts a 5.5 inch 1280 x 720 display, a 3,000mAh battery, 32GB of internal memory and dual SIM support. It rocks a 13MP rear-facing camera and an incredible 8MP front-facing camera for the selfie obsessed.

Lenovo also announced another Vibe device, the Vibe X2. The Vibe X2 doesn’t rock a 64 bit processor, but don’t let that fool you into thinking the device isn’t up to snuff. While residing in the mid-range of the Android universe, the Vibe X2 touts an octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, a 5 inch Full HD display, 32GB of internal storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP selfie snapper, which utilizes a wide-angle lens.

Both devices will begin their rollout in China this coming October, continuing in the rest of Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East as ell. The Vibe X2 will come with a price tag of $399, while the Z2 will command a $429 price.
