As it’s struggling to compete with rivals from Taiwan (MediaTek) and China (Allwinner), Qualcomm is forced to tweak its offering and launch new products made for lower-cost devices. So they’re out with two new products made for smartphones and tablets sold in the emerging markets where money matters, big time.
Part of the Snapdragon 200 series, the Snapdragon 210 and Snapdragon 208 chips come with four and two Cortex-A7 cores respectively, with former also supporting 4G LTE connectivity. Both SoCs are based on 28nm LP process and have Adreno 304 graphics.

The Snapdragon 210 and Snapdragon 208 SoCs will be available in commercial devices in the first half of next year. Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) reference tablet based on Snapdragon 210 will be out during the first half of 2015.
