While it’s getting illegal to use mobile phone — or almost any other portable device for that matter — while driving in many countries/states, some people keep doing so. However, today I don’t want to talk about safety issues, rather I’ll focus on the traffic.
Apparently — and I guess obviously — people who drive and use their mobile phones are slowing down the traffic. According to The The Chicago Tribune, motorists who talk on mobile phones drive slower on the freeway, pass sluggish vehicles less often and take longer to complete their trips.
And while I don’t understand why would someone care how much time an individual needs to complete his/her trip, it’s somewhat an interesting perspective to read how mobile phones not only make driving dangerous but cause delays…
