It’s been a long time coming, and after a previous ROM update leak enabled the GPS hardware, Sprint is finally rolling out the ROM update to bring the EVDO Rev. A radio online. Sprint Mogul users should see Rev. A data speeds in the neighborhood of 600-1400kbps on the downlink and 350-500kbps on the uplink.
For anyone considering a new Sprint Mogul purchase, the $199 Windows Mobile smartphone is shaping up as a great deal. It isn’t going to be winning any beauty contests, but with a healthy dose of EVDO Rev. A and GPS, the Sprint Mogul is sure to please. And, as the first US handset to hit EVDO Rev.
