Sprint BuyBackAs part of Sprint’s new push to become the wireless carrier of choice for top-notch customer service, the No. 3 US wireless carrier has been sending out “Thank You” emails to loyal customers. The latest round of emails has Sprint asking customers to go green and recycle their used cellphones. The Sprint BuyBack program is offering to take old and unused handsets off your hands – destined to be recycled, refurbished, or resold.

But, don’t think Sprint is looking to make a quick buck off your old mobile phone. No, Sprint has announced that it will donate all proceeds from sales of used handsets to charity – specifically to help increase internet safety for children. Sprint’s 4NetSafety program, in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the NEA Health Information Network, works to increase internet safety awareness among children, parents, and educators.

If you think you’d like to donate your old handset to Sprint, check to see if your phone is eligible for the Sprint BuyBack program.
