Samsung has unveiled their Samsung Pixon handset for cameraphone power-users that need nothing less than 8 million pixels of imaging resolution. The Samsung Pixon takes the company’s sleek yet feature-packed design philosophy and manages to pack in an 8 megapixel image sensor that’s capable of recording video at 60 and 120 fps – and there’s an LED flash to help out in marginal lighting conditions.
While the Samsung Pixon sports a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio for truly global capability, the single-band (2100Mhz) UMTS/HSPA (3G) radio ensures that this mega-megapixel cameraphone will be staying out of the US mainstream market.
