As part of its contract with Warner Bros, Glu Mobile will release a mobile game based on the upcoming movie Watchman. The cinematic adaptation of DC Comics’ popular graphic novel series is set to hit theaters somewhere in 2009, when Watchman fans will also be able to grab the same-named mobile game.

Commenting on the announcement, Glu’s senior vice president of global publishing, Jill Braff, said: “We are excited to continue our relationship with Warner Bros to create the mobile game based on this highly anticipated film. Like the film, the mobile game will engage long-time fans of the novel, as well as those who are getting to know Watchmen for the first time.”

And that’s about all we know at this stage. No screenshots have been released, yet. Guess we’ll have to wait for those little longer. Stay tuned in the meantime…
