According to TechDigest (via Reuters), Vodafone has announced deals with Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI Music, that will give users DRM-free tracks via their mobile network.
So now we have an interesting situations with Nokia “Comes with Music” (ostensibly free, but DRM’d), and Vodafone, who will be charging, but not adding DRM!
Fist-fight between Operator and Handset Vendor anyone? 😉
