Yep, it’s been a few days since the last BlackBerry update, but here we are again, old friend. This time around it’s actually an ‘official’ update (thumbs up). AT&T BlackBerry Bold users can now upgrade their device software via http://na.blackberry.com/eng/update (You’ll need Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer running on a Windows machine to get the device update). Applications have gone to 4.6.0.167, and the software platform is now at 4.0.0.217.

As always with any software update (official or unofficial) please backup your device and take all necessary precautions before you proceed. I have a feeling we’ll have a few happy Bold users out there… Sometimes there’s nothing better than new software to renew the love you have for your Berry. Happy updating AT&T BlackBerry Bold users!

Note: If anyone out there does update, be sure to let us know if you’ve found anything noteworthy in this build.
