Samsung: We’ll sell more than 10 million Start S5320 phones this year!

Samsung to sell more than 10 million Start S5320 phones

Samsung seems very confident in the success of its low-end all-touchscreen phone – S5320 Star, which is also known as the Tocco Lite in the UK.

Announced alongside the S5600 model (the better one), the S5320 is an entry-level TouchWIZ device which lacks a 3G radio. Still, Samsung’s proprietary user interface makes sure it’s easy to get around the phone’s numerous functions such as media player, web browser, calendar, facebook, and so on.

According to Chinese daily Commercial Times, the Samsung S5320 Star is already selling at a rate of more than 1 million units a month, and the Korean giant’s Taiwanese division says that the company expects to see a total of 10 million Stars moved by the end of this year.

And I can clearly see Samsung succeeding in its ambitious plans. After all, they managed to sell more than 5 million F480 phones, which was a higher-end model. We’ll certainly watch for any news coming out from Korea…
