Mobispine Desktop Messaging client

Russia’s MTS has recently launched the Desktop Messaging service in partnership with Acision, the world’s leading messaging company. Acision on its end co-operated with our friends from Mobispine, as part of the Acision Innovation Network.

That’s the corporate part, as for the end users, they will be able to send and receive messages from their computer through a dedicated desktop application plug-in for Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and Firefox web browsers. In addition, Mobispine has developed a Lotus Notes application for MTS’ Desktop Messaging specifically for the Russian market.

Commenting on the news, MTS’ product development director Pavel Roytberg said: “We are offering our customers the ability to send and receive text messages directly from their computers as Internet penetration is growing rapidly in Russia. By becoming the first operator in Russia to offer desktop messaging, we continue to deliver the most innovative solutions to our customers.”
